What is considered the legal and ethical age at which a child is able to consent to psychological intervention without the parent/legal guardian? Children over 12 may consent to a medical procedure such as termination of pregnancy, and according to literature on the issue, I've always considered a person of age 14 and older to be able to consent to psychological intervention. Is this correct?
